Education Sponsorship

Educate a child for only ksh 350 per month ($4). Contact Muyog for more information.

Brief Summary:

Despite effort by the government to make secondary education free, it is daunting that a good number of students in Marurui and like in many other urban informal settlements continue to put up with the brunt of academic exclusion. A study by World Vision revealed that 60 percent of secondary students in Marurui do not complete O – level owing to financial constraints.

The proposed project therefore seek to provide a platform on which well-wishers and potential sponsors could find it easy to intervene and offer support where necessary. As such, the role of the project will be to identify and document needy cases in a bid to rally support to raise school fees for the tartget beneficiaries. It is believed that through this platform, members of the community will be enlightened on the need to participate in supporting their own. While we appreciate support from from foreign sponsors/donors, it is worth noting that Muyog’s projects are largely founded on its ability to mobilize resorces from her own community.
